Photo: Simbu’s ‘Kaala’ avatar goes viral online

It’s a well-known fact that Simbu is a big fan of superstar Rajinikanth. So, when Simbu appeared for a reality show recently, the ‘Manmadhan’ star was seen sporting Rajinikanth’s makeover for the upcoming film ‘Kaala’. Clad in black, Simbu looked dapper as ever and the pictures have become a hit on the internet.
Be it the dialogues or the clothing, everything about Rajinikanth’s film seems to be a trend.When ‘Kaala’ teaser was unveiled earlier this month, the punch dialogue, “Kya re! Setting ah?”, became extremely popular on social media. Some even compared ‘Kaala’ to the Hollywood film ‘Black Panther’ in terms of its content.
On the other hand, Simbu is presently working with filmmaker Mani Ratnam for ‘Chekka Chivantha Vaanam’, which is reported to be an action drama. Apart from Simbu, the film also stars Vijay Sethupathi, Arvind Swami, Arun Vijay, Jyothika, Aishwarya Rajesh and Aditi Rao Hydari in lead roles.
If reports are to be believed, ‘Chekka Chivantha Vaanam’ is expected to release in the second half of this year. Post Mani Ratnam's film, reports suggest that Simbu might team up with director Rathina Shiva of ‘Rekka’ fame.
