Basking in the success of her last film ‘Naachiyaar’, actress Jyothika has finally joined the sets of Mani Ratnam’s ‘Chekka Chivantha Vaanam’. According to reports, Jyothika has started shooting for her portions in the much-awaited film.

Interestingly, a picture of Jyothika along with Mani Ratnam has been making rounds on the internet. Jyothika has reportedly been roped in to play a pivotal role in the multi-starrer venture.Actors Arvind Swami, Arun Vijay and Aishwarya Rajesh have already completed their respective schedules for the film.
Jointly produced by Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions, ‘Chekka Chivantha Vaanam’ is one of the most awaited Tamil releases this year. The film stars Arvind Swami, Simbu, Vijay Sethupathi, Arun Vijay, Jyothika, Aishwarya Rajesh and Aditi Rao Hydari in lead roles. With AR Rahman’s music, the film is slated to release later this year.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Jyothika is expected to start filming for ‘Kaatrin Mozhi’ from June. A remake of the Bollywood film ‘Tumhari Sulu’, the film will be directed by Radha Mohan and is likely to release by the end of this year.
