Pavithralakshmi, Athmiya join Kathir-Anandhi’s film

We had reported a while ago that Kathir and Anandhi will be teaming up again for a thriller, which will simultaneously be made in Tamil and Malayalam. Debutant director Zac Harries had informed us that the film will also have two more female leads and now, we have learnt that Cooku With Comali fame Pavithralakshmi and Athmiya Rajan, who made her Kollywood debut with Manam Kothi Paravai, are part of the project.
Zac says, “We wanted a fresh face and thought Pavithralakshmi would be apt for the role. She plays Kathir’s pair in the film and has begun shooting for her portions. Athmiya plays a detective and her character will travel throughout the film.”
The movie also stars Narain, Natty, Vinodhini, and John Vijay in important roles. While Sharaf U Dheen and Joju George will play Kathir and Natty’s roles, respectively, in the Malayalam version, the rest of the cast will be the same in both languages. Zac elaborates, “Kathir plays a suspended police officer, while Narain will be seen as a detective as well. Natty will be seen in the role of a gangster. All three investigate a high-profile murder.”
The team has already finished filming a majority of the portions in Chennai. “We have some more talkie portions left to be shot, apart from songs, which have been composed by Malayalam composer Ranjin Raj,” he informs.
