Padmapriya steals the show

There were fireworks on stage at the audio launch of Irumbu Kottai Murattu Singam (IKMS) as two of its leading ladies ��������� Lakshmi Rai and Padmapriya ��������� refused to acknowledge each other���������s presence.
A source close to the IKMS unit said, ���������Lakshmi Rai and Padmapriya had their daggers drawn during the making of the film. The dispute was over the length of their respective roles in the film and over the issue of who the actual heroine was.Director Chimbudevan had a tough time as they even fought over their costumes!���������
However, what seems to have irked Lakshmi Rai most is the fact that Padmapriya came wearing a sexy, maroon off-shoulder dress to the audio launch. The attire made the actress the cynosure of all eyes. A person from the film industry, who had come for the function, was heard asking a mediaperson, ���������Padmapriya has come dressed like Namitha for the function. Won���������t her decision to dress in such a fashion go against her on screen image, which is more homely?���������
Meanwhile, Lakshmi Rai, looked dignified in a flowy, lavender dress, which incidentally she had designed herself. Sadly, however, she was ignored by everybody, including the lensmen.
Meanwhile, Padmapriya and Sandhya, the other glamour girl in the film, hogged the limelight. Later, the director had to persuade Lakshmi Rai at the behest of the photographers, to be part of the group photo.
However, Lakshmi Rai had other reasons to celebrate after the screening of two songs from the film. The actress, who seems to have scorched the screen in the Vellaikare Nee, Kollaikkaran Naan... song sequence along with Lawrence, said, ���������I have not looked so ravishing on screen before. Thanks to cameraman Azhagappan, I look great.���������
Meanwhile, Padmapriya, when asked about her dress, said, ��������� I���������m not bothered about my screen image, I���������ll do what I like.���������
