, which revolves around a gang of girls. The actress likens her character to something that is a mix of Charlotte York and Miranda Hobbes in Sex And The City. “I play a ‘Marwari Tamilian’ girl. The essence of the character is funny,” she says. The film stars Oviya, and Masoom calls her the Carrie Bradshaw of the group.

However, she quickly adds that the film is different from other chick flicks. “It is not like Sex And The City, or Lipstick Under My Burkha or Angry Indian Godesses. It is a very fresh idea,” she clarifies.

Given that it is a women-centric film helmed by a woman director, the actress says that she felt more comfortable working on it and had lots of fun with the girls on set.

She calls Oviya “a darling”. “She is definitely not like any of the actors and actresses I have come across. She doesn’t pretend; she’s herself all the time,” she defines and adds that this helped her instantly connect with the Bigg Boss Tamil star.
