One year of Karnan: A film very very close to my heart, says Dhanush

With the blockbuster Karnan turning 1 today, Dhanush took it to Twitter to thank the crew and fans for the success of the film. The actor also shared pictures celerating the anniversay with producer Kalaippuli S Thanu and director Mari Selvaraj.
The trio celebrated the occassion by cutting a cake. While Mari Selvaraj presented Dhanush with a momento, the producer honoured the actor and director with garlands.
Along with the pictures, the actor wrote, "One year of blockbuster #Karnan A film that’s very very close to my heart. Thank you Mari Selvaraj , Dhanu sir , Santosh Narayanan and the entire cast and crew for everything. Sincere thanks to you all for making this film what it is."

Dhanush was seen as a strong-angry youngster in 'Karnan', and director Mari Selvaraj focused on a serious issue in the film. Rajisha Vijayan plays opposite Dhanush in the film while Lal, Natty, Yogi Babu, Gouri G Kishan, and others played key roles. Santhosh Narayanan has composed music for the film. The movie has been shot in regions around Tirunelveli district in Tamil Nadu, and a village-like set was created by the team.
On the work front, Dhanush has a handful of projects lined up starting with Naane Varuven directed by his brother Selvaraghavan and Thiruchitrambalam directed by Mithran Jawahar. The star is also awaiting the release of his Hollywood film The Gray Man while he is making his straight Telugu-Tamil bilingual film with Venky Atluri called Vaathi.
