On Vijayakanth's birth anniversary: Kamal Haasan cherishes the fond memory of his friend

Lat actor and political leader Captain Vijayakanth is celebrating his birthday today, August 25. On the actor's birth anniversary, veteran star Kamal Haasan took to X to share a special not remembering his frined on this special dat. In a heartfrlt note, Kamal Haasan cherished the fond memories he had with Vijayakanth.

Writing in Tamil, the 'Thug Life' actor said, "The name must be told whether it exists or disappears. My friend, Captain Vijayakanth, lived by the lines. The town should say who is like him. On his birthday I cherish the memories of a friend who carried flight and bravery in his heart."



Actor Vijayakanth who is a well known figure in Tamil Nadu and an actor, passed away in December 2023 after he was tested positive for COVID-19 which led his body to be affected by Pneumonia. The actor, through AI will be gracing the big screens on September 5. The makers of 'GOAT' using the latest technology have tried to bring the actor back on the screen and the entire cast and crew, including Vijay, Venkat Prabhu and producer Archana Kalapathi met Vijayakanth's family last week and sough their blessings.
