Official! Dhanush's film with Rajkumar Periyasamy is now 'D55'

Dhanush is one of the busiest actors in the South, and the actor, who delivered his 50th film 'Raayan' earlier this year, has an interesting lineup. As reports suggested, Dhanush has joined forces with director Rajkumar Periyasamy, who is winning audiences' hearts through his latest release 'Amaran'. Dhanush's film with Rajkumar Periyasamy has been announced officially by the makers, and it has been tentatively titled 'D55'. 'D55' has kick started with a muhurat puja today (Nov 8), and the makers have shared pictures from the ritual event to launch the film. Vetri Maaran was also spotted with Dhanush and Rajkumar Periyasamy at the 'D55' muhurat puja, and we have to wait to know the successful director's contribution to the film. The cast and crew of 'D55' are yet to be finalized, and the film might take some time to hit the floor.

Rajkumar Periyasamy announcing his next just a week after the release of 'Amaran' describes the demand for a talented director, and he is likely to come up with another powerful project. 'Amaran' featuring Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi is doing well in cinemas, and the film inspired by the life story of Mukund Varadharajan garnered attention across locations. Even though 'Amaran' earned praise from several stars including Rajinikanth, Suriya, and SJ Suryah, Dhanush hasn't shared his praise for the Sivakarthikeyan starrer yet.
Dhanush's 'Idli Kadai' release date announcement was made earlier on the day, and the actor's fourth directorial is to be released on April 10, 2025. The back-to-back updates from Dhanush's film energized fans, and it's a busy day for them.
