Usually, actors admit to feeling butterflies in their stomachs before their films hit screens. But not
Raashi Khanna. Her Ayogya, which stars
Vishal in the lead, is set for a release soon, and the actress says, “I don’t have any pre-release jitters. In fact, I’m usually excited and happy if a film of mine releases. All the hard work the entire team puts in… we get to see its result on the release day.
So, I always look forward to my film releases. That said, I guess this comes with experience. The more films you do, the more you learn. I’ve done quite a few films now, and have learnt all this over the years. I used to feel anxious earlier.”
The film, directed by Venkat Mohan, is a remake of Tollywood hit Temper, which was also remade as Simmba in Bollywood. When we’d earlier asked her if she felt the familiarity of the script would hamper the film’s BO performance, she’d told us, “The fact that it’s being remade in other languages itself means the script has that kind of potential. Also, I don’t think many of our Tamil audience would have seen Temper because it released a long while ago. It’s a great story and the screenplay has been changed to suit today’s time period. I’m sure it will leave a mark.”
