What is special about Paagan?
'Paagan' means a mahout. Every mahout will show boundless love towards his elephant.

So is my character. But here, he loves and cares for his bicycle, which plays an important part in his life. We have conveyed a strong message through the film that everyone should strive hard to come up in life and there is no place for short-cuts.
How was it working with director Aslam?
Director Ameer suggested me to listen to this script from Mohammad Aslam. I was thoroughly impressed with the story. It was hilarious and at places, emotional. It was fun working with him.
You seem to share a good rapport with Janani...
Yes, she is quite chirpy. We wanted a Tamil-speaking girl with expressive eyes to do the female lead, and Janani fit the bill!
Srikanth is currently busy with Nambiar, a film directed by newcomer Ganesh.
