Nikitha Gandhi, Alisha Thomas: Singers who gave a different life to the Tamil song with their voices!

Tamil songs are an important part of the film, and they have been followed through for years, especially for romantic scenarios. Over the decades, singers like SPB, KS Chitra, Janaki, Sushila, and many more have been known for their ability to breathe life into a song with their vocal abilities. Considering the recent past, here are a few female singers who imprinted life into their singing style.

Sayonara Philip sang the songs 'Adirathee' from 'Sivaji The Boss' and 'Honey Honey' from 'Ayan'. Both songs were well received by the audience, and the songs had an extra essence of deep note as the voice of the singer was exceptional.

Singer Nikhitha Gandhi has sung the songs 'Lady O' from 'I' and 'Theera Ulla' from 'Ok Kanmani'. She also sang for 'Sachin Billion Dreams'. She has also won the best singer award of the year from Filmfare. Nikitha Gandhi is not a very famous singer in Tamil but is well known in Hindi.

Alisha Thomas sang the song 'Don u Don u' from 'Maari, which is one of the famous Tamil songs. Alisha has not sung many film songs, but as an individual singer, she has worked with AR Rahman, Harris Jayaraj, Anirudh Ravichander, and Vijay Jesudas, among others. She also won Best Original Song at the 2017 Academy Awards.

Ananya Bhat primarily sings in Kannada and Telugu. She made her debut with the film 'Viduthalai' as a playback singer in Tamil. Composed by Ilaiyaraaja, she sang the songs 'Onoda Nadandhaa' and 'Kaatu Malli'.
