The chairman of the Producers Council SA Chandrasekar has announced that a new association will be formed and the film shootings will commence from April 7th onwards. While the FEFSI has announced an indefinite strike from April 7th following some differences over the salary hike issue with the Producers Council, this announcement about a new association comes as a surprise.
Speaking about the new association, SA Chandrasekar said that the need of the hour is a unique body for Tamil films alone while the FEFSI caters to all the film industries.
SA Chandrasekar added all technicians and workers willing to join the new association are free to do so and they will be extended with full support.
TG Thyagarajan, T Siva, K Muralidharan, S Dhanu, Kovai Thambi, H Murali, V Shekar and others were present at this meeting.
