Nayanthara spills the beans on her love story with husband Vignesh Shivan; reveals how she fell for him: 'I found him cute and then the way he...'

Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan, who wed in June 2022 after meeting on the set of Naanum Rowdy Dhaan in 2015, are the focus of the upcoming documentary Nayanthara: Beyond The Fairytale. Netflix promos feature them discussing their romance, keeping fans eagerly engaged ahead of the documentary's release.

During the shoot of Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, Nayanthara had an unexpected moment of noticing Vignesh Shivan in a different light. While waiting for her shot on the cleared roads of Pondicherry, she observed Wikki directing Vijay Sethupathi. In that instant, she found him cute and admired his way of working as a director, which sparked her interest in him.



Vignesh also shared that after Nayanthara finished her scenes, she mentioned missing the set. He admitted that he also missed her presence. Although it’s common to admire a good-looking person, Vignesh never viewed Nayanthara in that way, highlighting a deeper level of respect and connection between them.

Vignesh Shivan and Nayanthara tied the knot on June 9, 2022, in an intimate ceremony in Mahabalipuram, attended by close family, friends, and co-stars. Later in October of the same year, they joyfully announced the birth of their twin children, Uyir and Ulagam, through surrogacy.

The highly-anticipated documentary Nayanthara: Beyond The Fairytale will provide fans with an exclusive look into the star’s life. It will feature insights from friends and colleagues like Rana Daggubatti, Taapsee Pannu, and Nagarjuna Akkineni, along with her family. The documentary is scheduled to premiere on November 18 on Netflix.

On the work front, Nayanthara's previous success was with the SRK starrer action flick 'Jawan'.
