It's not often that an actor expresses regret about taking a role, but that's precisely what
Nayanthara did in a recent interview with a well-known media company.
Fielding a question submitted by an interviewer on whether she had any regrets on roles she's passed on, the actress replied the question and addressed roles she has taken on that she's regretted.
Playing
Chitra, a medical student in the
2005 film Ghajini
was one of them, Nayanthara said. She further added that her character in the movie was not on part with the other female lead role
Kalpana played by Asin
and she regretted that his work did not go beyond comparison. In fact, Nayanthara thinks her entire performance in the film is dreadful. For such a proper role, she's pretty hard on herself.
On the work front, Nayanthara will be next seen in
Rajinikanth's Darbar
and Milind Rau's Netrikann. The shooting of Nayanthara's 65th film Netrikann is underway in Chennai. The project, which is being produced by
Vignesh Shivan's Rowdy Pictures
, marks the first time collaboration between Milind Rau and Nayanthara.
