Nayanthara is in demand
Glam girl-turned-screen goddess, Nayanthara, prefers to remain an enigma. All through the 50-day function of blockbuster Srirama Rajyam the actress sported an amused smile, but chose to keep mum, even as everyone was dying to know when she would tie the knot and if she had quit films for good.
Given that this southern sizzler had announced her decision to quit films almost a year ago, but deferred to director Boyapati Seenus request for a demure role in the blockbuster Simha and then went on to do Srirama Rajyam at actor Balakrishnas behest, filmmakers and producers were trying their best to get Nayan to change her mind.

At the success meet, Nayan was visibly pleased by all the adulation she received for her performance as Sita in the mythological film. Praising her, veteran filmmaker Dasari Narayana Rao said, Before this film, everyone thought that Nayanthara was good only in glamorous roles, but with this film, she has proved herself as an actor. Citing instances of married actresses, the veteran filmmaker asked Nayan to continue to do films even after her marriage. Joining the chorus, legendary playback singer SP Balasubramanyam and producer Sai Babu too, asked Nayan to rethink her decision to quit films.
Meanwhile, with Srirama Rajyam turning out to be a hit and Nayan getting rave reviews for her role as Sita, there have been rumors that Nagarjuna had recommended her to Ram Gopal Varma for his new film Ramayanam thats being touted as a modern version of the epic. When contacted both Nagarjuna and RGV denied the news.
