Vijay will be working with his Mersal director, Atlee, once again, in his next. This project will start rolling from January 2019 and the puja for the film produced by Kalpathi S Aghoram, was held recently. After Villu (2009),
Nayanthara is all set to pair opposite Vijay for the second time. Nayanthara was the heroine in
Atlee
's debut film 'Raja Rani'.
Yogi Babu and comedy actor Vivek are also said to be playing important roles in the film which is scheduled to release for Diwali 2019.
Archana Kalpathi, took to her social networking page to say, “A heroine needs to be Strong, Smart and add Strength to the Story AGS is super happy to announce that our very own #Nayan has come on board #Thalapathy63 Like all fans I am super excited to see our #Thalapathy #Nayan combo on screen after a longtime @Atlee_dir #Ags".
The film, which is tentatively being referred to as #Thalapathy63, will fall in a different genre compared to the films that Vijay and Atlee have made together so far. This will be Vijay’s 63rd film and his third film with Atlee, after Theri and Mersal. The Mersal combo of music director AR Rahman, lyricist Vivek, cinematographer GK Vishnu, editor Ruben and stunt choreographer Anl Arasu have been retained.
