'​Nandhan' to 'Lubber Pandhu': Five Tamil movies that are releasing on September 20

Tamil cinema is one of the busiest industries in Indian cinema, and it's hard to pass a week without new releases. But this Friday (Sep 20), it's going to be one of the busiest weekends for Kollywood as more than 5 new Tamil movies are hitting the big screens. Offering a mix of genres and star-studded casts, the new releases are set to take the box office busy. Here is a look at five Tamil movies that are releasing on September 20.

'Nandhan'

Sasikumar, who last impressed fans through his lead role in 'Ayothi', is back with his next release with 'Nandhan'. Directed by Era Saravanan, 'Nandhan' is a rural political drama, while Sasikumar takes a versatile role. Sruthi Periyasamy plays the female lead, and will be seen in a challenging role. Mathesh, Mithun, Balaji Sakthivel, Katta Erumbu Stalin, Samuthirakani, V Gnanavelu, G M kumar, and Sakthi Saravanan play crucial roles, and the film has music composed by Ghibran.

'Lubber Pandhu'

Harish Kalyan has been impressing fans through his selective films, and he last delivered the successful 'Parking'. Harish Kalyan starrer 'Lubber Pandhu' is releasing on September 20, and it's a cricket drama that is set in a rural backdrop. 'Lubber Pandhu' will be a cricket battle between a youngster and his girlfriend's father and the film helmed by Tamizharasan Pachamuthu also has Attakathi Dinesh, Swaswika, Sanjana Krishnamoorthy, Kaali Venkat, Bala Saravanan, Geetha Kailasham, Deva Dharshini, and TSK among others.

'Sattam En Kaiyil'

Sathish, who started his cinema journey as a comedian, has now transformed into a successful hero, and he delivered multiple successful films as a lead to strengthen his place. Sathish is next playing the lead role in this week's release 'Sattam En Kaiyil' and he joined forces with director Chachi. Reported to be a one-night thriller, it also has Vidhya Pradeep, Mime Gopi, Pavel Navageethan, Ajay Raj, Rithika, Ram Doss, and KPY Sathish in crucial roles, whereas the film music is composed by Jones Rupert.

'Kadaisi Ulaga Por'

Hiphop Tamizha the music director-turned-actor has cemented his place as an actor by delivering entertaining films. But he opted to deliver a science fiction for the first time as 'Kadaisi Ulaga Por' releases this Friday, Sep 20. Hiphop Tamizha has also directed 'Kadaisi Ulaga Por', and the film features Nassar, Natty, and Anagha in the main roles alongside the director-actor-composer.

'Kozhi Pannai Chelladurai'

Seenu Ramasamy, the National Award-winning director, is popular for delivering family drama, and he next delivers 'Kozhi Pannai Chelladurai'. A film that deals with brother and sister relationship is set in a rural backdrop and it's going to be an emotional rural drama. Aegan, Yogi Babu, Brigida, and Sathya play main roles, and the film has music composed by Raghunandhan.
