Working on Arivazhagans Vallinam seems to have rekindled some fond memories for Nagulan. The actor says he was reminded of the days he used to shoot for Shankars Boys. Arivazhagan and I started our career with Shankar sirs film, and Ive known him since then. In many ways, his working style reminds me of Shankar sir, he says. The film, which has him paired opposite Mrudhula, is a sports drama.
The focus of the script is not on romance, but the romantic sequences have been shot interestingly. Mrudhula is a Bharathanatyam dancer, and she has been performing since she was a small kid. So, the song sequences in the film will be one of the highlights, he smiles. We hear that Nagulan had to put on weight for a particular portion of the film. We shot this flick over a period of three years, and I had ample time to gain weight, and then lose it all, he says, The film has been censored and we are looking at suitable dates to release it.
Meanwhile, the actor has already commenced work on Narathan. Im also doing a film with an associate of AR Murugadoss. Its an engaging script and I cant wait to start shooting for it, he says.
