’ kick started on Friday with an auspicious puja. Director of original version, Samuthirakani is the maker of this sequel which will cast one of his good friends

, Bharani, MS Bhaskar, Namo Narayan and Super Subbarayan are to be seen in important roles.

Here’s what Anjali tweeted about the film shoot, “Ended the first day shoot of #Nadodigal2 extreme pride and happiness, all thanks to @thondankani sir @SasikumarDir sir blessed to be a part of this prestigious project @amritharam2 @AthulyaOfficial (sic).”

The film which will be shot mainly in Madurai and other surrounding locales is produced by S Nandagopal of Madras Enterprises under his banner. Ekambaram of ‘Kaavalan’ and ‘Kanthasamy’ fame is cranking the camera for the film and Justin Prabhakaran has been roped in to compose music.
