Athulya Ravi is upbeat about her upcoming movie Suttu Pidikka Utharavu. She says, “Suttu Pidikka Utharavu is completely new when it comes to my part. The film doesn’t have any routine commercial ingredients, songs and even romantic portions. I will be seen as a girl from the slums of Coimbatore, who is undergoing teacher training.”
Giving more insight about the film, she adds, “The story is about an unexpected incident that happens to this girl, when bunch of robbers barge into the slum, where she dwells and how it changes her course of action. When director
Ramprakash Rayappa sir told me the story, he clearly mentioned that my portions will be a breathing space amidst the fast-moving racy thriller. All I can say for now is that my role will be a suspense element in the film.”
Athulya Ravi adds that she didn’t have to undergo any special training for playing a slum girl in this film. “Actually, my role didn’t demand for such efforts. Since, I am playing the girl from Coimbatore; I had to include some regional slang accordingly,” she says.

Mysskin and Suseenthiran in lead roles with Jakes Bejoy composing music and Sujith Sarang cranking the camera. Produced by PK Ram Mohan, the film will release on June 14, 2019.
