Muthina Kathrika does not take a dig at politicians

Muthina Kathrika, the official remake of the Malayalam film Vellimoonga, has Sundar C playing the role of a politician. The director says that he has made a lot of changes to the original script for the regional audience. Director Venkatragavan says, ���When directing a remake film, we have to change certain scenes and dialogues for the regional audience. Though Vellimoonga is a comedy film, we added a few more funny scenes and commercial elements to the script.Sundar C is apt for the role, which requires only minimum expression and subtle body language.���
Venkat, a former assistant to Sundar C and who has written dialogues for Aranmanai, is making his directorial debut with this film. So, what prompted him to remake Vellimoonga? He says, ���This is the life of a politician. The film will not take a dig at any politician or political parties. The original was very impressive and that���s why we decided to remake it.���
