Actor
Mottai Rajendran, who has become a household name, today, shared an emotional video in which he narrated his film journey in a nutshell. He said that his father and brothers were fighters on the film sets and that he too followed suit.
He said in his video, "I have worked in a number of Tamil and Malayalam films as a fighter. It was during one such film,
Pithamagan
, that director
Bala saw me. He then asked me to play the villain in
Naan Kadavul
. I was happy and scared at the same time as I was not sure if I would be able to pull off the role. That's when director Bala and the film's cinematographer Arthur A Wilson encouraged me to go ahead. People started recognising me. Then, director Rajesh gave me an opportunity to explore comedy in
Boss Engira Baskaran
. The lines Thala Thalapathy have become a rage. I am really grateful for the journey."
It was only recently that a picture of a young 'Mottai' Rajendran with hair on his head did the rounds on social media. The actor had shared a throwback picture of him with Malayalam Superstar Mohanlal. The actor had made his Twitter debut a few days ago.
