You are Chennai Times Most Desirable Man of 2015. What makes you desirable?
That���s a difficult question. I guess it���s about staying grounded, being polite, and giving respect to my my senior actors.

And physical features?
How do I answer that question without coming across as vain?

Since you insist... I am very proud of my nose. My nose gives me a very good profile.

Time was when you were very diffident about your looks ��� what has changed?
I am far more confident now because of the love people have showered on me. Their acceptance is what keeps me going. In the beginning, I was riddled with major complexes about my looks. Even now, here and there, these complexes crop up. But as the days progressed, I learnt to handle them much better. That���s because of the unconditional love I have received from people. They made me feel wanted and loved. Also, things are different now. Anybody can become an actor if they get the right break. What matters is your talent. People���s taste in movies has also changed. They don���t care much about an actor���s looks. They want to see good talent. When I joined films in 2002, there were all kinds of rash and unkind comments that were made about my looks in the reviews. Not just here, but all over the place, they trashed my looks. That was the time heroes had to look a certain way. I was the first of my kind. It was hardly an easy place for me to be in. In the first place, I never wanted to become an actor.

Is that right?
Yes, I wanted to become a chef. I strongly feel cooking is the best form of art. But sadly, that didn���t happen. I try to cook once in a while, but it���s not that I really know how to cook. I wanted to master the art of cooking. Maybe, when I slow down and do one or two films a year, I will learn how to cook and pursue it as my hobby.

Dhanush, what do women find sexy in you?
When I step out, I don���t mingle with anyone that easily, don���t talk that easily unless I really know someone. It���s not arrogance or attitude; it���s just that I am very shy. It takes a lot for me to walk up to someone and say hello. Now, many women find this shy nature of mine, sexy.

Kollywood, Bollywood, and now Hollywood. Is Dhanush having the last laugh?
Let���s not put it that way. Let���s just say that it brings a smile to my face.

What is it about a woman that turns you on?
If I know the woman, she has to be smart and have a high degree of common sense. By smart, I mean she should be intelligent.

And any physical features?
Oh, God! I am not answering this. I am a married man, and I am going to get into trouble!

No, you will not...
Eyes. Eyes... You can say so much with your eyes without saying anything at all. Eyes are my biggest plus, too. I use my eyes a lot in my films. I have worked with good directors who have taught me how to use my eyes.

Sexiest woman?
Scarlett Johansson.

And sexiest man?
Johnny Depp.

Your crazy fan moment?
There���s this female fan of mine in Turkey. She���s a big fan, and keeps sending me nice quotes, and photoshopped pictures of me and her together. She tried her level best to meet me when I was in Turkey, but that didn���t happen. I don���t know her name, but people will know her as she���s very famous on Twitter.
