Ajith starrer 'Thunivu' has been locked and loaded to release on Pongal, and the film will be clashing with
Vijay's 'Varisu' at the box office. 'Thunivu' has recently received U/A from the censor board, and the makers announced it officially with a stunning poster featuring Ajith. 'Thunivu' underwent 13 changes during the censorship, and almost 13 bad words are chopped.
Also, director H Vinoth had a dialogue trolling North Indians as "Vadakkans" and it has been modified in the censor. The surprising fact is that the 'Thunivu' producer is also a popular filmmaker from North India, and seems like the producer has given the freedom to the director to make the film according to his idea.

'Thunivu' is based on a bank robbery, and the film will have a duration of 2 hours and 25 minutes. Ajith will be seen as a baddie, while the film also has
Manju Warrier,
Samuthirakani,
John Kokken, GM Sundar, and Ajay among others in crucial roles. Ghibran scored the music, while the cinematography is handled by Nirav Shah.
Even though 'Thunivu' has been censored, the makers haven't announced the film's release date yet, and from the latest talking it looks like 'Thunivu' will arrive a day ahead of Vijay's 'Varisu'. However, it's going to be the biggest box office battle for sure between Vijay and Ajith's films, and let's wait for both filmmakers to announce their respective release dates.
