is one of the most loved films of Kollywood. The film which saw Arvind Swami make an incredible come back impressed fans. The director of the film Mohan Raja was praised by critics for making a great film which had a flawless script and engaging screenplay. Thani Oruvan which has a separate fan base is celebrating 5 years since release. It has been five years since the film released. Mohan Raja has shared memories of working in the film.

Mohan Raja thanked the fans for making the film a huge success. Mohan Raja talking about the success of the film said in a press meet said. ‘I am happy that people clapped when my name as director came up after the movie. A lot of heroes had asked me to do remake films, even though I had expressed the desire to make a straight film. I should thank all of them for making me do that, because if they had accepted a straight film, I wouldn’t have been able to make a film like Thani Oruvan. When Archana Kalpathi (producer) was travelling, the entire flight cabin appreciated her for making such a film, she called me and told me how happy people are, that’s when I realised I have made a good film.’



The film had Nayanthara, Ganesh Venkatram, Harish Uthaman, Thambi Ramaiah playing important roles. Hiphop Tamizha composed music for the film.
