Mirchi Shiva is a VIP in director Kannan’s next

The buzz in tinsel town is that Mirchi Shiva and Yogi Babu will team up for an out-and-out laugh riot, which will be directed by Kannan. We have learnt from reliable sources that the film will take off this month and that Shiva will play a VIP — Velai Illa Pattadhari — in it.

The source says, “Both Shiva and Yogi Babu will play engineering graduates who are in search of a job. It’s a fresh script, written by Kannan, and the shoot will begin from July 15 in Chennai. The team intends to wrap up the film in one schedule, lasting almost 35 days.”

While Karunakaran and Oorvasi will also be playing integral roles in the film, the team is yet to lock the leading lady. Meanwhile, Kannan’s Thalli Pogathey, starring Atharvaa, Amitash and Anupama Parameswaran, is being considered for a mid-August release. The film is censored. His other film with Aishwarya Rajesh and Rahul Ravindran — The Great Indian Kitchen — is in final stages of post-production, and will mostly be an OTT release.”
