Karthik Subbaraj’s much-awaited ‘Mercury’ trailer is out! And boy, the film appears to be promising in terms of its content. As reported, the trailer was launched by a host of celebrities like AR Rahman, Dulquer Salmaan, Nithin and
Rakshit Shetty on Twitter.
Going by the trailer, the film has impressive visuals. Though the clip doesn’t reveal much of the story, it looks like ‘Mercury’ revolves around a bunch of youngsters stuck at an isolated place in Kodaikanal. Apparently, the film is based on the infamous
Kodaikanal
mercury poisoning. The highlight of the trailer is the haunting background score by
Santhosh Narayanan.
Jointly produced by Stone Bench Films and Pen Movies, ‘Mercury’ is scheduled for a worldwide release on April 13. However, the Tamil version of the film will not release in Tamil Nadu owing to the ongoing Kollywood strike. ‘Mercury’ has a strong technical team, which has the National Award-winning cinematographer Thiru and music composer Santhosh Narayanan among others.
