Meenakshi's dedicated to the core

For actress Meenakshi, Mandhira Punnagai is a memorable film in many ways.
First, she���������s excited that the film has offered her scope to prove her acting prowess. Secondly, she is extremely happy to have worked with Karu Pazhaniappan, who���������s both directing and playing the lead in the film.
But there���������s also another incident that happened while shooting for the film which she says she won���������t forget.
���������We were shooting a song in Chikmaglur (in Karnataka). The area was full of leeches and the climate was harsh and foggy. We were shooting there for almost four days and every day, without fail, the leeches would crawl on my skin and start sucking blood. Many times, my shoes would slip from my feet because they would be drenched in blood. Karu sir would immediately ask people to dress up my wound. God, was it painful! However, this song will remain close to my heart because I had the experience of a lifetime, shooting for it!��������� she says.
Now, that���������s what we call dedication! Way to go, Meenakshi.
