Meenakshi Chaudhary refutes depression rumours after Vijay’s GOAT; says, 'I never said that'
Meenakshi Chaudhary has finally spoken about the rumours that said she went into depression after acting in Vijay’s film 'GOAT'. The actress clearly said in a recent interview that all those reports were false. She said she never told anyone that she was depressed or mentally stressed because of the film.
Meenakshi told Telugu 360, “I never said that I am in trauma, mental stress. I never went into any depression, any low phase. I don’t know who said that and how it spread out. But I never said that.”
'GOAT' was directed by Venkat Prabhu and starred Vijay in a double role. Sneha and Meenakshi Chaudhary played the female leads. After the film, some reports said Meenakshi faced trolls and went into depression. But she strongly denied it. She said, “I don’t associate the film with depression. I associate it with some of my best memories.” She also said she had a great time during the shoot. “Actually, it was a wonderful experience that I worked with them and I had a great time shooting also. Fun!” Meenakshi said she would happily work with the same team again if she gets a chance.
She also clarified about her role size. “I did not know my role would be this small. When you are an actor, many things are said, and many promises are not kept. But here, there were no such promises. So I had no expectations,” Meenakshi said.
Meenakshi ended by saying that even after she clarified everything, the rumours spread fast and were made into clickbait.

Meenakshi talks about her personal strength
Meenakshi also spoke about her life and the tough times she has already faced. She said she has gone through much harder moments as a child. She said, “My father passed away. If I can get through that, all of this is nothing, right? So all this mental stress and depression is nothing. These are projects, these are small films.” She added that she does not get stuck in negative thoughts. “We have our own stresses in life, we go through it. But I never went through any depression,” she said. Her memories from GOAT

Why she said yes to the film
Meenakshi said the main reason she agreed to do 'GOAT' was because she is a fan of Vijay. She said, “The main reason I said yes to the film was because I am a fan of Vijay sir. When you get a call to act in his film, you naturally say yes.” She added that when she knew it could be one of his last films, she did not think twice. “I wanted the memories of sharing the screen with him, acting with him, dancing with him, and being on the same stage as him,” she said.Meenakshi ended by saying that even after she clarified everything, the rumours spread fast and were made into clickbait.
