Mani Ratnam's ‘Chekka Chivantha Vaanam’, which went on the floors earlier this year, is all set to for release. The multi-starrer film, which is touted to be socio-political drama has been officially announced to be released on September 28, 2018. One of the main highlights of the film is its huge star cast that includes Arvind Swami, Simbu,
Vijay Sethupathi, Arun Vijay, Jyothika, Aishwarya Rajesh and Aditi Rao Hydari in lead roles.
Produced by Madras Talkies the film with Vijay Sethupathi playing a cop, Simbu playing an Engineer and Arvind Swami playing a politician and Arjun Vijay playing a villain will be presented by Lyca Productions. On the other hand, actors Prakash Raj, Jayasudha, Thyagarajan, Cheenu Mohan and Mansoor Ali Khan are reportedly playing supporting roles.
The film has music by AR Rahman with Cinematographer Santosh Sivan reuniting with Mani Ratnam after ‘Raavanan’ in 2010, while Sreekar Prasad is in charge of the edits.
