Makers release new intense poster of Jayam Ravi from 'Ponniyin Selvan 2'

The magnum opus ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ was released in theatres on September 30, 2022. The film broke all the records and made a milestone achievement by earning a gross of Rs 500 crore at the box office. Directed by Mani Ratnam, the film features Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Trisha and Aishwarya Rai in the lead roles. The sequel of the film ‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’ is all set to release in theatres on April 28, 2023.

The makers of the film took to social media today, March 2, to share a new glimpse of Jayam Ravi from the film as Arulmozhi Varman. Celebrating producer Subaskaran’s birthday, the production house shared this new glimpse. Earlier yesterday, the makers confirmed the movie’s release date and shared a small BTS video of Jayam Ravi and Karthi from the sets of ‘Ponniyin Selvan’.

As Subaskaran is celebrating his birthday today, the makers also made a huge announcement today of the tentatively titled ‘Thalaivar 170’. The official announcement was made that Rajinikanth has signed up for his next film with ‘Jai Bhim’ director TJ Gnanavel.
