'Maharaja' director Nithilan Swaminathan praises Yogi Babu and Chimbu Devan's 'BOAT', calls the film "A fun and thrilling survival drama"

Director Nithilan Swaminathan shot to fame with his last release 'Maharaja' featuring Vijay Sethupathi in the lead role. Nithilan Swaminathan won appreciation from several cinema stars including Rajinikanth and Vijay. Now, Nithilan Swaminathan has praised Chimbu Deva's directorial 'BOAT' featuring Yogi Babu in the lead role. Nithilan Swaminathan took to social media to share his review for 'BOAT' and shout out for the audience to watch the latest Tamil release on big screens.

Earlier, Vasanta Balan, Arivazhagan, Cheran, and several other filmmakers from Tamil cinema hailed Chimbu Devan's directorial 'BOAT', and the film gets strong support from Tamil cinema stars. The continuous support from cinema stars have boosted the film's buzz, and the 'BOAT' is likely to reach a wider audience.

'BOAT' received mixed reviews from the audience. Even though the film's concept looks fresh, Chimbu Devan failed to strengthen the film as the screenplay looked slow. Yogi Babu, MS Bhaskar, Gouri G Kishan, Chinni Jayanth, and Shaams delivered strong performances to add the right force to the film, while Ghibran's music elevated the film's emotions well. 'BOAT' was released along with five other new films on August 2, and the film occupied a decent number of screens.
