'Maharaja' box office collection day 2: Vijay Sethupathi starrer earns Rs 7.58 crore

The Tamil film 'Maharaja' was released in theatres yesterday and the movie has received a lot of positive reviews. The film on day 1 earned Rs 4.5 crore at the box office and on day 2, Saturday, the film has managed to make twice and earned Rs 7.58 crore at the box office. The weekend collection of the film is expected to cross Rs 20 crore and the film already has made a record break with becoming the third best opening in 2024.

The movie is an action thriller, directed by Nithilan Swaminathan and its stars Vijay Sethupathi, Mamta Mohandas, Anurag Kashyap, Munishkanth among others. 'Maharaja' is a film about a barber who seeks vengeance after his house is burgled. Trying to fight against the robbers, this action thriller is cryptic as the main character explains that 'Lakshmi' is stolen from his house, and it makes the audience curious and interested to watch the film to figure out if the 'Lakshmi' he means is a person or an object that gets his income.

On the work front, Vijay Sethupathi has two more projects in the pipeline awaiting its release - 'Viduthalai 2' and 'Gandhi Talks'.
