Basking in the monstrous success of her latest release ‘Rangasthalam’,
Samantha Akkineni awaits the release of Tamil-Telugu bilingual ‘Mahanati’. The ‘Theri’ actress, who recently wrapped up the shoot, has also completed the dubbing for the film.
According to reports, Samantha has dubbed her own voice for ‘Mahanati’. Thanking the team for the experience, Samantha has now released a new poster from the film.
Sharing the picture on Twitter, Samantha wrote, “Really happy to be a part of such a wonderful film .
I hope you love #Madhuravani as much as I loved being her.”
‘Mahanati’ is a biopic on the legendary South Indian actress Savitri, who was known by the sobriquet Mahanati. Actress
Keerthy Suresh will be essaying the titular role, while Samantha Akkineni is reported to be playing a journalist.
Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film has a host of actors including Dulquer Salmaan, Naga Chaitanya, Vijay Deverakonda, Prakash Raj and
Mohan Babu in prominent roles. Produced by Vijayashanti Movies, ‘Mahanati’ is all set for a grand release on May 9, 2018.
