A person named Porkodi, has filed a case seeking a ban on the release of the film 'Thangalaan' on OTT platforms, claiming that it contained scenes disrespectful to Vaishnavites. The Madras High Court issued an order yesterday (Oct 21) in this matter. In the order, it was stated that there is no ban on the release of Thangalaan on OTT platforms. The High Court also mentioned that since the film has already been certified by the Censor Board and released in theaters, a ban on its OTT release cannot be imposed. So, the hurdle for the 'Thangalaan' OTT release is cleared, and the Chiyaan Vikram starrer is likely to stream on a popular platform on the occasion of Diwali.
