Madhuvanti says, 'In Dharmadurai, I played the role of a cop, but in Arya's film I play a negative role. However, I can't reveal any more details about my role. But this project is special as I will be sharing screen space with my dad Y Gee Mahendra on celluloid for the first time. Though we have done theatre plays together, to work with him for a film was an interesting experience.' The film was primarily shot in the forest of Kerala, Kodaikanal and Talakona.

Madhuvanti also plays an important role in the Tamil remake of Shivalingaa. She says, 'I play a CBCID role, the one which was essayed by Malavika Avinash in the Kannada version. It was an amazing experience to work with P Vasu, Lawrence and Ritika Singh.'

Ask her if she has any qualms about the duration of her role on-screen and Madhuvanti says that she looks only for quality. 'It took me so much time to do a film after all these years.Though it was a short role in Dharmadurai, it was something that was much talked about. I want to do those kind of roles.' So, how did she bag the offer? 'Seenuramasamy had come to watch my play Perumalae and liked it a lot. That's when he promised me that he will give me one role in his next film. And he did keep his promise,' she says.
