Madhavan just a few days prior to the release of the film ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’ spoke about the ISRO’s Mars Orbiter Mission and how it succeeded after it was launched on a good day based on the Hindu calendar. Talking at the promotional event of the movie, Madhavan claimed that the Hindu calendar Panchang helped the ISRO to launch a rocket to reach Mars’s orbit.
The netizens trolled the actor for his unscientific claim and said that the actor’s statement did not make sense. Reacting to the troll, Madhavan on his Twitter stated that he deserved it. His statement read, “I deserve this for calling the Almanac the “Panchang” in tamil. Very ignorant of me. Though this cannot take away for the fact that what was achieved with just 2 engines by us in the Mars Mission.A record by itself. @NambiNOfficial Vikas engine is a rockstar.”
