Shalini thought of Ajith. The buzz has been that Ajith and Shalini fell in love during the shooting of 'Amarkalam' which released a year before 'Alaipayuthey'.
Madhavan seems to have also said that Ajith has helped him a lot during his inital days in Chennai. While Ajith's fondness for flights and cars are known, actor Madhavan has revealed that he also shared smiliar likings as Ajith.
It is to be noted that Madhavan was approached to play the negative lead in Jayam Ravi starrer 'Thani Oruvan' but Madhavan couldn't be a part of it due to various reasons. During that time reports that Madhavan revealed that he would like to play a negative lead opposite Ajith.
