Madhavan reveals about his friendship with Thala Ajith

Actor Madhavan who had begun shooting for the Tamil movie titled 'Maara' earlier this year, is also making his directorial debut with 'Rocketry: The Nambi Effect'. Meanwhile, the star actor's iconic romantic film and Tamil debut 'Alaipayuthey' directed by Mani Ratnam completed 20 years yesterday on the occasion of Tamil New Year's Day. The chocolate boy turned star actor has talked about his friendship with Thala Ajith in a recent interview.
Interestingly, Madhavan has revealed that during the shooting of the famous proposal scene on the train in 'Alaipayuthey', he thought of his wife Sarita and Shalini thought of Ajith. The buzz has been that Ajith and Shalini fell in love during the shooting of 'Amarkalam' which released a year before 'Alaipayuthey'.
Madhavan seems to have also said that Ajith has helped him a lot during his inital days in Chennai. While Ajith's fondness for flights and cars are known, actor Madhavan has revealed that he also shared smiliar likings as Ajith.
It is to be noted that Madhavan was approached to play the negative lead in Jayam Ravi starrer 'Thani Oruvan' but Madhavan couldn't be a part of it due to various reasons. During that time reports that Madhavan revealed that he would like to play a negative lead opposite Ajith.
