Maanu's Singapore connection

Guess what actress Maanu, who shot to fame with Kaadhal Mannan, is up to these days?
Well, apart from teaching classical dance to many and performing around the world, she���������s been actively involved in promoting Singayil Gurushetram (SG), directed by TT Dhavamanni. Maanu, who was present at the recently-held trailer launch of the film, which is claimed to be Singapore���������s first local Tamil movie, says, ���������I���������ve worked with Dhavamanni in a couple of his stage productions.I was present with him throughout the shooting of SG and know the amount of hard work they���������ve put in. All the actors, born and brought up in Singapore, have a lot of respect for Tamil Nadu and its culture.Though I���������m from Assam, TN has given me respect and recognition. So, I told Dhavamanni that he has to release the film here. SG will strike a chord with audiences anywhere and I want to see Dhavamani getting his due here.���������
