The first schedule of Simbu's upcoming film 'Maanadu' was recently wrapped in Chennai. The team has now moved to Hyderabad for their next schedule at
Ramoji Rao Film City. Pictures of Simbu from the sets have been continuously surfacing on the internet.
Now, the latest update is that
Manoj Bharathiraja will be seen essaying the role of a cop in the film. The news of his addition in the film was confirmed through his picture from the sets.
Manoj recently played a pivotal role in Susheendran's Champion, and his father, legendary director Bharathiraja, also plays an important role in the film. Along with the lead actors Simbu and
Kalyani Priyadarshan, actors SJ Surya, Karunakaran, Aravind Aakash, Manoj Bharathiraja, Premgi are also a part of Hyderabad schedule and some major portions of the film are expected to be shot during it.
'Maanadu' is produced by
Suresh Kamatchi under the banner V House productions, while
Yuvan Shankar Raja is scoring the music for the music.
