Lyricist Thamarai's protest continues
The protest of lyricist Thamarai, who is demanding that her husband Thiyagu return home and tender an apology to her and her son, entered the third day on Sunday. The lyricist had begun her sit-in protest, outside what she believes to be the office of her husband, on February 27.
Talking to the media, Thamarai had alleged that her husband had left home, unannounced in November last year.

Unaware of his whereabouts, she said she had tried to reach him on his mobile but found it switched off. 'He has to return home and he has to tender an apology to my child and me for leaving us. A team must be constituted to inquire into what has happened during the last 20 years,' she had demanded. Meanwhile, Thiyagu has refuted some of the allegations levelled against him. He has also reportedly said that he had sent an e-mail to the lyricist about his decision to part ways over difference of opinion and that he hadn't received a reply to it as of now.
