In fact, the actor's sister's marriage took place in the city and he had flown down for that in 2010, right after being signed up for the film Thor, when he even met the media. But during his most recent visit to the city in October 2011, he ensured the visit remained strictly private.'
BT also found out that the actor loves Chennai and has made several trips to Pondicherry and Mahabalipuram over the past few years. The source also adds that Tom has even seen some Bollywood films, including Shah Rukh Khan's My Name is Khan and Devdas.
Tamil Anthem for superheroes It might feature superheroes likes the Iron Man, Captain America, Thor and Hulk, but still, The Avengers, will be going local to promote the film with an anthem in Tamil as well. The studio behind the film had earlier signed up Indian rock band Agnee to create an anthem for the film in Hindi to go with the Indian release. And now, they will also be releasing a Tamil version of the film.
Says a source, 'Agnee had composed a special song Hello Andhero' for the film, the lyrics for which were written by Abbas Tyrewala, the director of Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na. Now, the band will compose a Tamil version of the song, which will be sung by its vocalist
K Mohan. The song is likely to be released next week.' This will be the first time that a Tamil song is being recorded to promote a Hollywood film, adds the source.
