Actor Suriya is reportedly said to join hands with Lokesh Kanagaraj for a new film. After Suriya played a cameo role in 'Vikram' as Rolex, the director revealed that a spinoff character of Suriya will be created as a new movie which will be part of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe. A couple of weeks back. Lokesh Kanagaraj confirmed that he and Suriya will be teaming up for a movie.
Now, in a recent award ceremony, Lokesh Kanagaraj reportedly revealed that he got to work with Suriya only for two days while he played the role of Rolex in 'Vikram' and he added that he will definitely do a full fledged film with Suriya. He also reportedly added that the film shooting will go on for 150 days. It is expected that the official announcement will be made next year.
Director Lokesh was supposed to do a film with Suriya much earlier for 'Irumbu Kai Maayavi' right after his debut / However the film did not go on floors. It is now unsure if the director will be reviving the same story for Suriya or making the prequel for the role of 'Rolex'.
While Lokesh Kanagaraj is busy shooting for 'Leo' with Vijay in the lead role, Suriya is filming for 'Suriya 42'. It is expected his project will be made official and will go on grounds after Suriya completes shooting for 'Vaadivaasal' with Vetrimaaran.
