Actor Fahadh Faasil was last seen in the Tamil film 'Maamannan', and he has now signed up for his next project, 'Thalaivar 170' directed by TJ Gnanavel. The movie is a multi-starrer, and the cast includes Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, and Manju Warrier. The shooting for the movie has already begun. According to the reports in News 18, Lokesh Kanagaraj, who directed 'Vikram' starring Fahadh Faasil, Vijay Sethupathi, and Kamal Haasan, stated that he has written a story for Fahadh Faasil and mentioned that he has titled it 'Mufti'.
Lokesh Kanagaraj has reportedly stated that the story of the movie will revolve around a policeman's uniform. He explained that he wrote the story keeping in mind actor Fahadh Faasil and added that the plot of the movie is about how a policeman gives his uniform for alteration and what happens after that. However, Lokesh Kanagaraj did not say anything else about the movie and did not reveal if he had planned to shoot it yet. Fahadh Faasil played the role of a policeman in 'Vikram'.
Director Lokesh Kanagaraj, in a recent media interaction, also revealed his plans for Lokesh Cinematic Universe and announced that he will soon be shooting for Kaithi 2', 'Vikram 2', and Rolex, and added that right now he is not planning to co-direct the movies of the cinematic universe with any other directors.
On the work front, Lokesh Kanagaraj is awaiting the release of his movie 'Leo' starring Vijay in the lead role. Stated for release on October 19, the movie features Vijay, Trisha, Arjun, Sanjay Dutt, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Priya Anand, Mysskin, Mansoor Ali Khan, Matthew Thomas, Sandy, among others, and actor Anurag Kashyap in a cameo role in the movie. The film's music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
