, which was released on Friday, Lokesh Kanagaraj took to Twitter to thank fans for their unconditional support. He wrote," Thanx for the overwhelming response guys,.. loved every minute in sets and the entire process of making kaithi...will cherish this forever! Thank you once again prabu sir and karthi sir for the opportunity!...To answer all your txts and calls yes "Dilli will be back".
The film is receiving well by the audience as well as the critics who claimed it to be the turning point in Karthi's career. On Friday, Kaithi saw 95 per cent occupancy in theatres, which is enormous on a working day. As per trade reports, the Karthi-starrer has earned Rs 40 lakh at the Chennai box office on Friday. With an unprecedented craze it has among the audience, Kaithi is expected to make Rs 5 crore at the Tamil Nadu box office on its first day.
