Lokesh Kanagaraj expresses his wish to remake Ajith’s ‘Dheena’

Director Kanagaraj is one of the versatile directors of South who has been nicknamed to be a director with no flops. After ‘Vikram’, the director is now working on the script of his next film with Vijay which is tentatively titled ‘Thalapathy 67’. Lokesh Kanagaraj attended an event on November 20 and in the public gathering when he was questioned about which film of Ajith’s would he like to remake, the director reportedly stated that he would be interested to remake Ajith’s 2001 blockbuster film ‘Dheena’.

‘Dheena’ was released in 2001 the commercial hit movie was directed by AR Murugadoss and it was his debut film. Lokesh Kanagaraj’s reply made the fans happy as they have been long waiting to see the combination of Ajith and Lokesh Kanagaraj and this answer has now given them hope that the director is interested in Ajith.

On the work front, Ajith was last seen in the film Valimai which was released in February this year and he is now awaiting the release of his film ‘Thunivu’ directed by H Vinoth which will be released for Pongal 2023 soon after he is expected to start work for his next film ‘AK 62’ which is said to be directed by Vignesh Shivan.
