'Lal Salaam', the Tamil biggie, has been released in theatres today (February 9), and the highly anticipated film has received wider attention from the audience. With Rajinikanth in a supporting role, fans welcomed the film with wide hands, and the sports drama went houseful for the early morning shows. Despite earning positive reviews from early shows, 'Lal Salaam' failed to keep the momentum as the film was released on a working Friday. However, Aishwarya's film looks stronger for the late evening and night shows as the film sees a peak at the reservation after positive reviews come in earlier in the day.

'Lal Salaam' has reportedly grossed over Rs 4 crore till the evening shows, and the film might add another 2 or 3 to its box office number for the opening day. Overall, the box office collection of 'Lal Salaam' is expected to be around Rs 6 crore, and it's going to be a substantial number for the cricket drama. 'Lal Salaam' is well set to peak during the weekend as the film is open to audiences of all generations, and the emotional drama is a package of action, emotion, and cricket.

Directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth, 'Lal Salaam' has Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in the main roles, and the film involves a strong supporting cast with Rajinikanth in a crucial role. AR Rahman scored the music, and his songs and background score are well enjoyed by fans.
