Lakshmi Manchu has a bad fall

Lakshmi Manchu recently had a scary experience that she would not forget for a long time. The Maranthen Mannithen actress was in the backwaters of Alappuzha, and she slipped from her canoe. She was thrown overboard. The incident occurred during the shoot for an English film, Basmati Blues.
The actress said that she had to swim almost a kilometer before a fishing boat came to her rescue.She posted on her micro-blogging site, ���Was on a canoe ride at the alapuzzha lake and our canoe flipped over and we were thrown off. We couldn't get on the boat. Had to swim more than a kilometre. Was quite scary not knowing what was in the water. Snakes r a common sight there. We I mean my co actor and me!! Was saved by a fishing boat. It was very intense. Thank god for my swimming lessons! It was dark and creepy being in the water. All the scary Water movies came to my mind. Ahhhhh. Glad we r safe and alive to tell the story.��� (sic)
