Lagubaran, who played the hero in the romantic-drama, Raattinam, has signed his next. But this time, he will be playing the antagonist. The movie, titled Sathru, will have
Kathir of Kirumi fame, as the hero while
Srushti Dange plays his pair. Debutant
Naveen, an associate of
Radha Mohan, is the director of the film.
'I never thought I will get an opportunity to play a negative role so early in my career. In Raattinam, I played a happy-go-lucky youngster and based on that role, people started believing that I can only play soft roles. But this will test me as an actor,' says Lagubaran, who was last seen in Ettuthikkum Mathayaanai.
As for his role, the actor says, 'My character is someone who is involved in child trafficking and it is quite powerful.'
