KV Anand was an assistant cameraman in Kamal Haasan-starrer 'Thevar Magan' directed by Bharathan and had
PC Sreeram
cranking the camera.
Mourning the demise of the cinematographer turned director, Kamal Haasan posted in Tamil which translates to, "KV Anand, who started his career as a photographer in magazines, has established himself as an outstanding cinematographer and director due to his unwavering dedication. His demise was a disaster for cinema."
In an earlier interview about a decade ago, KV Anand had revealed the PC Sreeram's assistans claim themselves to be from Kamal Haasan's school. He had also mentioned that his team use Kamal Haasan's works for reference all the time.
